Horoscope: A Reading of a New Play-In-Process

Presented by Sun Valley Playwright’s Residency

In partnership with The Argyros, Boise Contemporary Theater, Boise State University’s Department of Theater, Film and Creative Writing, and The Community Library

Pulitzer Prize finalist and two-time Obie Award winner Rajiv Joseph returns to Idaho to workshop the brand new play he has been writing as Sun Valley Playwright’s Residency’s 2023-2024 Resident Playwright.

The evening begins with a conversation between Joseph and SVPR Artistic Director John Baker, followed by a reading of Joseph’s new play, Horoscope.

Twelve characters, twelve scenes, twelve months of the year: Horoscope centers on a group of twenty-somethings searching for meaning beyond their current orbit. The reading features twelve Theatre Arts majors from Boise State University.

Written and Directed by Rajiv Joseph
