Friday evening, April 25, 7 P.M., Ken will perform his ‘Now Entering Alaska Time’solo show that combines fiddle tunes, smart original poetry, and Alaska-set storytelling.
Raised outside Philadelphia, Ken moved to Alaska in 1985 to attend graduate school. A former college professor, Ken has lived in Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka, Nome, Anchorage, and has traveled widely in the state. Now a long-time touring artist, he has appeared at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Dodge Poetry Festival, The Woodford Folk Festival (Queensland, Australia), and leading festivals, concert series, colleges, arts centers, and clubs across North America.
If you've been to Alaska, this show will be like taking a return trip from right here in Blaine County. If you've never been, you'll want to go. See the quotes below, and check out Ken at www.kenwaldman.com. We'll see you on Friday, April 25. Expect fun, inspiration, surprises!
". . . might tempt you to plan a road trip with a journal under one arm and a fiddle under the other."
